Introduction to the Black Book of Hours

A book of hours is Christian prayer book that was popular in the Middle Ages. These books often contained beautiful miniature illustrations and decorative designs, borders, and fonts. The contents were often the Gospels, psalms, the liturgical calendar, and fundamental texts. Some also contained personal and original texts. The rarest of these books were the black book of hours, which were dyed with black ink before decoration.
This is my personal online Book of Hours. Here I will share art, prayers, texts, and stories of my own.
